The bearing was packaged in a way to ensure that it wouldn't be damaged before I installed it. It was a very accurate fit and this made the installation go quickly. The ABS sensor worked without a problem and the bearing was quiet on the road.

Comments about MOOG Hub Assemblies Hub Assembly:

After purchasing on-line for pick-up in the store, installed product on my Oldsmobile Silhouette. It fit and worked perfectly. Bolts lined up correctly and no problem with proper clearances for all moving parts. Using the holes in the hub allowed access to all bolts and it was a simple 5-7 minute replacement after I removed the wheel and brake drum. This part repaired the grinding rear passenger OEM hub. Operation was smooth and silky compared to the rough turning movement of the original hub. Hopefully, I will recieve similar wear milage to the OEM hub of 135,000 miles.

Comments about MOOG Hub Assemblies Hub Assembly:

Save yourself some time and remove the whole bracket assembly. It is easier to install the hub on the bench. Also have a torx socket on hand to remove the backing plate. If you have the car on a lift it is probably a toss up. Grease the aluminum hub body in the event it requires service again.

What I would expect from a part associated with the names Moog and Federal Mogul. You get what you pay for and this is a part I doubt I'll have to replace again. The original hub had over 120,000 miles on it.

Hi Heavy Kevy, I'm glad to assist you. It is not necessary to replace both the hub assemblies together. But it is recommended to replace them as a pair for better performance.

                    • Q:

The Spec says two required, I read things (it's how my brain works) very literally so does that mean they recommend you buy a pair? OR two are required for the rear as there are two wheels, duh? The question is can I buy one and put it on the left wheel(that there is not a specific one for the left or right wheel?). I'm pretty sure the answer is yes but hey stranger things have been misinterpreted.

I'm happy to help, Matt! The bolts that attach the hub to the knuckle should use approximately 55 lb-ft of torque. To ensure that you have all the proper torque specifications for your vehicle I suggest purchasing a repair manual for your vehicle, Part No. 38010. MOOG also provides some installation instructions here: http://fme-cat.com/LiveDocs/Hub%20Installation%20Instructions.pdf

I would recommend purchasing a Haynes repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.
