Comments about MOOG Hub Assemblies Hub Assembly:

Just installed this weekend, so cannot judge the longevity. Note that these have a 3yr warranty.
Had trouble getting the old axle nut and one of the hub bolts off (even with an impact wrench).
The new hub took 10 minutes to install. Reinstall took a total 45 minutes for new hub, parking brake, rotor/caliper and replacing the wheel.
Remember to order the new axle nut and be careful around the ABS Sensor.

Comments about MOOG Hub Assemblies Hub Assembly:

Used this to repair the left rear hub of my 2005 Outback. The repair went very well. Two points: 1) Use a gear puller to push the axle shaft thru the back of the hub. 2) Use a heavy hammer to tap the hub out of the assembly. Also, don't forget to disconnect the ABS sensor. Now, there is no noise! I did the repair in about 4hrs, proceeding slowly on purpose.

Comments about MOOG Hub Assemblies Hub Assembly:

I cannot speak to the quality of this item, I replaced both rear bearings on my 05 Subaru.
After watching a youtube video I decided to take this on and save the $400 cost of installation. The bolts were near impossible to remove even with a battery impact gun. I took the car to a coworkers house, who was a mechanic in a previous job. With a air impact gun on one side and me with a torch on the other, with great effort we got them loose. It took all day, and in hind sight I should have payed the $400.

I'm very happy with the quality of the hub assy. It seems heavy duty and like it will last. It was much easier to install the whole hub assembly rather than changing just the bearing.

The answer above threw me and caused some consternation among the parts people as well. OF COURSE the magnetic strip is part of the hub and comes with it! I just installed one this week and the ABS now works fine.

The Wheel Hub Assembly from National does not have the ABS encoder built in it. It also does not include the ABS (Anti-Lock Brake) Sensor and ABS (Anti-Lock Brake) Tone Ring in it.
