The website calls this a Moog wheel hub but when I went to pick it up in the store it was "National" brand. Not sure if it is a combination of the Moog hub and National bearings, but it didn't say Moog anywhere on the box or part.
With that said, the installation was simple (except I had rusted star bolts that stripped...just used a small pipe wrench and they came off). No noise so far after a few hundred miles. Seems like a good part.

I bought these Moog front wheel bearings for an '05 Chevy Cavalier after getting a howling and vibrating sound. I replaced both the driver's and passengers. These Moogs were easy to install and the howling/vibrating immediately went away. But I'm sorry to report they have failed 2 years and 30k after being installed (howling/vibrating again). My original OEM wheel bearings lasted 115k before replacement was needed. I'm very disappointed as I paid the extra money after reading bad reviews on other brands. Don't get these unless you only need your car another year.

Comments about MOOG Hub Assemblies Front Wheel Hub Assembly:

Overall seems to be a good product. Manufacturing seemed to be of quality. Only comment I would have which isn't a big deal is that the box comes with surplus gaskets and rings that are not specified for which vehicles they apply.

Comments about MOOG Hub Assemblies Front Wheel Hub Assembly:

i installed this on my chevy cavalier 2003. taking the old one off seemed to be difficult. i mean i had to beat it off with a hammer. but when installing the new one it slipped right in. im not sure if that matters i always thought u had to press it in with the bolts. anyways its in there pretty snug. dont forget to install the o-ring and seal that come with this kit. the o ring goes between the hub and the metal bracket. and then the seal goes on the other side of the bracket where the cv axle goes through... just make sure u grease the lip of the seal because it is dry when they send it. also taking a dremel with a wire brush to the cv axle where the lip of the seal will ride will help clean up any rust there and help the seal last longer. i think others have had problems with this hub because they did not install the seals properly.

wheel bearing works just fine eliminated the noise of the old one. Time will tell on how long it lasts. Hope it lasts longer than the last one installed by a repair center. The original ones lasted 200,000 plus miles but the replacements are not getting much life. I NOW HAVE 287,000 miles on the car and trying to break the 300,000 mark. Have had no large cost repair issues with this car, works great. Just wheel bearings for now. Going to keep driving it until it won't go no more.

Take the wheel, brake caliper, and rotor off. Then take the axle nut off. Now rotate the hub assembly so that one of the holes lines up with one of the six point Allen bolts. Loosen all three bolts like that. Then take the hub assembly out and replace it with a new one. You just don't replace the wheel bearing, it comes as a whole installed in a new hub. Installation is in reverse.

                        A:

When replacing the wheel studs you might have bent the brake dust shield and it should be rubbing against the rotor or even the bearing would have been ruined or a bend in axle shaft may cause rubbing noise. However, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.
