Comments about Moog Control Arm w/Ball Joint:

Bought this April 14th, 2013. Was easy to install, felt heavier than the factory control arm, and has a grease point, very satisfied with the product so far.

Comments about Moog Control Arm w/Ball Joint:

The first thing I noticed after removing the old control arm is how much heavier the Moog one is. It just feels a ton stronger and it's greasable which I like.

Comments about Moog Control Arm w/Ball Joint:

Comments on the parts, which went into a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD. I replaced the upper and lower ball joints, both sides, at the same time.
            a. The OEM upper control arm in the assembly is aluminum and this part is steel. So, it's heavier and will rust but should really make a difference.
            b. I saw some upper ball joints individually , that is, without the control arm. However, I don't think you can get the ball joint out very easily - I worked it over for quite a while after I had the arm off just to see if I could get out - no luck - there is no good place to evenly seat the receiver cup on the press. Later I saw something that says you have to replace the whole assembly. So, buy this part, not an individual upper ball joint.
            c. For the lower ball joints, I rented the ball joint press kit with all the adapters. None fit the Dodge... I had to make one out of a piece of 2 7/8" pipe- I slit the pipe and crimped it to make it smaller, and cut the slant in it. So - I would check the kit and make sure you get an extra adapter that will work - I believe it is 2 3/8inch OD, with the slant cut in it.

I read some other reviews about the Moog parts being stiff or causing steering problems, but so far they are working fine for me and I haven't seen any problems. I think it was worth the extra money relative to the no-name lower cost versions.
