2007 Saturn Mod. ION 2. I have replaced Struts, Sway bars, I have a loud bang or thud noise directly below the floor board. Have had several service tech's drive it and look at it. They say they have no answer to this noise. We checked wheels, fender brackets etc.
I owned a 2000 Saturn, same size and it made noise, Was advised that the whole power train had to be removed. Is this the same bushing. David Utz

I'm happy to help, Dave! On the 2007 Saturn Ion there is a technical service bulletin available with many possible causes to the noise you are hearing. The front lower control arm bushing being one of those possibilities. This MOOG Control Arm Bushing (Part No. K200792) is the front lower rearward bushing and may resolve your problem. According to the TSB, one or both of the lower bushings may need replacement. The TSB# is 04-03-08-006G.

I suggest reading the TSB to make sure that you are not purchasing parts that may or may not resolve the problem. A repair manual for your vehicle may help you with your diagnosis (Part No. 87011). If you would like additional assistance with your diagnosis, try our 'Need expert help?' link further down this page. A mechanic will be better able to assist you with diagnosing the problem as they will be able to see the vehicle and field test it.
