Used these to replace stock Ford cam bolts, which is what most alignment shops will do anyways. These allow for more adjustment. Beware: The nut was 21MM but the bolt head was 22MM for the sets I got (2). Had to go buy a 22MM combo wrench. Also, the threads on the nuts (all 4 I got) were machined poorly and stuck every half turn; they were not cross threaded either. Probably just slipped past quality control. All in all they did the job.

Bought these as recommened since I got the MOOG upper control arms. After installing, had the shop do the alignment twice and I still get severe pulls to one direction. When going around turns feels like the back end does not follow the front. Shop is unable to get a good alignment with these. Should have kept the original bolts and saved the money. Now I'm going from shop to shop to get my ranger aligned. My gas mileages has dropped tremendously. From the stated 17-22 MPG to under 15 since putting these on.

Comments about MOOG Caster / Camshaft Bolt Kit:

Fit a 98 ranger 4x4 perfect. Had to cut the factory bolts and bushing out because it was rusted up but these went right in and allowed the truck to be alinged. Would recommend to anyone and would buy again.

These bolts are made to turn hard every 1/2 turn. They are square bolts. It is normal. Look at the nuts, they are slightly oblong also. It's for alignment purposes.

Hi Tim, good question! While technically it is not required for the job, setting the camber accurately is much easier with them. With the cam bolts they can hold the camber exactly where needed while tightening the nut. This link will help you with the exact position these washers are used -

A single kit with two bolts is required for each control arm. Therefore, two kits are required for the Driver's side and the Passenger's side.
