Q:I've been told that you need to shim the front end of the 4x4 Bronco to correct the camber on the truck. there are some 12 different sizes, each time requiring a tear down to get the right size after adjustment of the camber. This can't be the way Ford design folks intended for us to set the front end. How are these caster camber bushings related and located in this alignment? Preparing to go into the front end of my Bronco.
A:Hi Eddie, I'm happy to help! Yes, there are has been quite some difference in camber with the late 60's and late 70's Broncos. I have come across few Bronco forums where owners of 75 and late Bronco models complain too much of positive camber compared to the early 70's models. I have also come across one manual which says "Broncos use 1 to 2 degrees of positive camber" against Jeep's 0 camber. This part offers you an adjustment range of negative 1 1/4 to 1 1/4 degrees. As I do not have the exact year of your Bronco I am unable to provide you an exact answer. If your Bronco is made in the 70's then this should be compatible.
