MOOG Problem Solver products incorporate proven design and engineering features to ensure like new steering, ease of installation and longer life. MOOG is the preferred steering and suspension parts brand of professional technicians and NASCAR Crew Chiefs.

Product Features:
  • Problem Solver® powdered metal gusher bearing design enables grease to flow through the bearing to the stud for reduced friction and enhanced strength and stability.
  • Problem Solver® patented cover plate design allows for tighter tolerances vs traditional cover plate designs, providing a more durable and extended life part.
  • Exclusive cover plate protects against contaminants leaking into the bearing surface.
  • MOOG® engineered steel composition results in a stronger component. Full ball metal stud provides 360 degrees of smooth, consistent, rotational movement resulting in more responsive steering.
  • An enlarged ball joint receptacle in the lower control arm can cause a loose ball joint fit. MOOG® Problem Solver® design includes an oversized housing for a more secure fit.
  • Greaseable socket design allows new lubricant to flush contaminants from the assembly, reducing corrosion and wear.

I don't know, I anxiously checked my boxes after the mexican ball joint comment and both of mine were made in Mexico. Despite that, they looked fine.

needed this repair because I had one bad ball joint and both had broken boots. I replaced both sides and found it's easier to get the old ones out of the knuckle than the control arm. The new ones fit fine, I was pretty happy they came with the pinch bolt, the castle nut and the cotter pin. They even came with new pinch bolt lock washers.

Only time will tell how they hold up, the OEM boots lasted for years and years. I guess if they break early I'll get OEM next time, but so far I like what I see.

Heard good things about moog,
but I guess from now on, I am only
going to buy Subaru parts.
Those are they best you can get for a
Subaru that you care about.

Perfect fit for my 2001 Subaru Legacy GT Limited.
This is a HIGH QUALITY, MADE IN JAPAN REPLACEMENT! Perfect dealer alternative. After removal of the old ball joint I cleaned out the housing (rust and derbies) and this slid right in. I put the castle nut on it and gave it a VERY light tap to fully seat it in the spindle. Install the new pinch bolt (the old ones are usually shot upon removal) and called it good!

Would have rated it 5 stars but it seems the rubber is just too tight. I lined up the grease exit to the inside (toward the oil pan) and pumped in a ton of grease. It never came out--just kept expanding.

Quality part, fit and finish were right on. If you have problems getting it into the knuckle its probably because of all the rust and grime, clean it out and it will pop right in.
