MOOG Problem Solver products incorporate proven design and engineering features to ensure like new steering, ease of installation and longer life. MOOG is the preferred steering and suspension parts brand of professional technicians and NASCAR Crew Chiefs.

Product Features:
  • Problem Solver® powdered metal gusher bearing design enables grease to flow through the bearing to the stud for reduced friction and enhanced strength and stability.
  • Problem Solver® patented cover plate design allows for tighter tolerances vs traditional cover plate designs, providing a more durable and extended life part.
  • Exclusive cover plate protects against contaminants leaking into the bearing surface.
  • MOOG® engineered steel composition results in a stronger component. Full ball metal stud provides 360 degrees of smooth, consistent, rotational movement resulting in more responsive steering.
  • An enlarged ball joint receptacle in the lower control arm can cause a loose ball joint fit. MOOG® Problem Solver® design includes an oversized housing for a more secure fit.
  • Greaseable socket design allows new lubricant to flush contaminants from the assembly, reducing corrosion and wear.

                      A:

Hi Jon, glad to serve you! When replacing the ball joint you would need jack, jack stands, tire iron, wrench, cutting pliers, ball joint separator, paint, small brush, press tool and receiver cup. For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a Haynes or Chilton repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.

I recommend just checking them at every oil change and greasing them whenever they need to be.

recomend every oil change or sqeaky, only fill untill see coming out of boot.reason:boot might be full but ball joint dry.and also stops grease fitting from seizing, then u cant fill or have to change to fill and some can be difficult.same with tie rod ends...these parts consitantly move so after 3000miles should u try to grease? yes sorry for spelling tring to be quick...YES I AM ASE CERTIFIED TECH.7 CERTIFICATIONS THANKS JAMES!!!!
