MOOG Problem Solver products incorporate proven design and engineering features to ensure like new steering, ease of installation and longer life. MOOG is the preferred steering and suspension parts brand of professional technicians and NASCAR Crew Chiefs.

Product Features:
  • SUVs and light trucks are equipped with large wheel and tire assemblies that result in taller ride heights. This raises the vehicles center of gravity, creating high lateral loads in turns. MOOG® split bearing Problem Solver® technology eliminates excessive radial deflection often experienced with high lateral loads.
  • Problem Solver® powdered metal gusher bearing design enables grease to flow through the bearing to the stud for reduced friction and enhanced strength and stability.
  • The ball joint assembly maintains maximum ball to bearing contact for greater load carrying capability.
  • Problem Solver® patented cover plate design allows for tighter tolerances vs traditional cover plate designs, providing a more durable and extended life part.
  • MOOG® engineered steel composition results in a stronger component. Full ball metal stud provides 360 degrees of smooth, consistent, rotational movement resulting in more responsive steering.
  • Greaseable socket design allows new lubricant to flush contaminants from the assembly, reducing corrosion and wear.

Rating possibly could be higher but just installed. Can't really comment on how well it will last. Instillation is straight forward.

      Comments about MOOG Ball Joint:

I have no complaints about the joints. They fixed the squeak I was having in the front suspension. They were easy to line up and install. It is worth your money buying the moog over the cheaper ones. That is experience talking!

Worth the money to buy moog over driveworks anytime. I compared them at advance and the moog brands quality was noticeably better. Made in USA. Just make sure you have a grinder for the factory rivets if they have not been changed before.

              Comments about MOOG Ball Joint:

My '98 blazer has 210,00 miles on it and needed front ball joints desperatlly. They were still rivited in original equipment. It was a pita to remove the original ones (used angle grinder, air chisel and drill to remove them) but the MOOGS went in very easily and appear to be good quality. They cost twice what the budget ones do, I'm not exspecting to get 13 years out of these, but I didn't want to be replacing them anytime soon either. So the exspense was worth it to me. Time will tell. That's why I only gave them 4 stars. 5 stars if they go the distance.

Good question, Reever! I just checked with the manufacturer Moog suspension and they updated that the ball joint is bolt in type.
