Monroe® Reflex® monotube shocks are specifically engineered to provide better handling, control and performance for light trucks and SUV's. These shocks feature a high-pressure gas charge that separates the unit internal oil and nitrogen to provide additional spring rate, helping to maximize damping efficiency and control. To further enhance ride control characteristics, Monroe® Reflex® monotube shocks include a hydraulic lockout to cushion the impact as the vehicle suspension is fully extended.

Product Features:
  • Hydraulic Lockout: Patented unique hydraulic lock-out isolates impact at the limits of suspension travel
  • All Weather Fluid: Contains special modifiers to reduce friction and ensure smooth rod reaction.
  • High Pressure Nitrogen Gas Charged: High-pressure charge (240-260 PSI) provides a quicker response for excellent vehicle control
  • Shock Housing: High strength to resist damage and provide longer service life.
  • Nitrocarburized Rod: For long service life
  • Fluon Banded Piston: The fluon band provides consistent sealing between the piston and pressure tube which delivers better control and increased durability.
  • Free Floating Dividing Piston: Separates shock fluid from high-pressure gas charge.

Comments about Monroe Reflex Monotube Shock Absorber:

Just purchased a set of (4) Monroe Reflex Monotube shocks to replace the worn-out originals on my 2005 Silverado 1500 2wd Reg Cab / Long Box.
This truck is used rather often for towing and hauling.
These shocks were installed today, and I couldn't be happier with them thus far after having test-driven the truck over surfaces driven over just hours before. The performance of these shocks really revealed just how worn the original shocks were.
Installation was a breeze. Shocks have a great appearance.
The ride quality is outstanding, and exactly what I like in a truck. I would describe the ride as "solid but smooth" - not harsh like some truck shocks. Typical expansion joints and minor bumps are dampened & absorbed well. Tires are kept firmly planted, and larger bumps / holes are absorbed very well, preventing bottoming of suspension. Nose dive is well-controlled under heavier braking.
Longevity is the only remaining question.
With that factor pending, I am very happy that I chose these Monroe Reflex Monotube shocks over other options I had considered.

Comments about Monroe Reflex Monotube Shock Absorber:

Replaced front shocks on 2000 GMC Sierra SL for the first time since buying new. After nearly 130,000 miles, it was about time. Handling and steering improved immediately. The price of this product was great with the promo code. Took about an hour to replace the passenger side due to rust and prep work. Driver's side took about 30 minutes. Box says "made in Canada"...at least it's located in North America. Good product for the price. Can't wait to see the difference when I replace the rear.

Comments about Monroe Reflex Monotube Shock Absorber:

Very nice replacement shocks for my 2006 GMC Sierra base. Pretty much as everything you need and the shocks fit right in. The only thing that could be improved is if the kit came with new mounting bolts. Mine were fatigued from the first 100k miles.

The only difference I can feel whle driving my truck is it no longer bounces when driving on a uneven road but you can feel even the smallest pothole or road reflectors when crossing into another lane.
