Monroe® Reflex® monotube shocks are specifically engineered to provide better handling, control and performance for light trucks and SUV's. These shocks feature a high-pressure gas charge that separates the unit internal oil and nitrogen to provide additional spring rate, helping to maximize damping efficiency and control. To further enhance ride control characteristics, Monroe® Reflex® monotube shocks include a hydraulic lockout to cushion the impact as the vehicle suspension is fully extended.

Product Features:
  • Hydraulic Lockout: Patented unique hydraulic lock-out isolates impact at the limits of suspension travel
  • All Weather Fluid: Contains special modifiers to reduce friction and ensure smooth rod reaction.
  • High Pressure Nitrogen Gas Charged: High-pressure charge (240-260 PSI) provides a quicker response for excellent vehicle control
  • Shock Housing: High strength to resist damage and provide longer service life.
  • Nitrocarburized Rod: For long service life
  • Fluon Banded Piston: The fluon band provides consistent sealing between the piston and pressure tube which delivers better control and increased durability.
  • Free Floating Dividing Piston: Separates shock fluid from high-pressure gas charge.

    They work

Comments about Monroe Reflex Monotube Shock Absorber:

The rear shocks were easy to install just remember to not take the banking off until you have them on the spot you want them. I attached the upper portion first, removed the band and it opened right into place slow enough I could slide in the bolt. (This method was suggested by another reviewer.) the front shock were a bit harder, we picked them up at the store and they did not have the compression band on (the boxes were open) so it was a fight to get them in place until my son used the back compression bands to hold the front shocks compressed, then they went in easy. we never jacked up the truck. The truck rides much better now!

Comments about Monroe Reflex Monotube Shock Absorber:

My factory shocks was blown and I was looking between bilsteins and monroe reflex. Heard great reviews about tue reflex and decided to give it a try. Man I qas so pleased with the results!!!. It was easy to bolt on my 06 z71 and I installed them with the wheels on the ground with ease. Just had to use a jack to give me some clearence to get the bolt in. Had all 4 done in 2 hrs without help and some simple tools. I use my truck everyday and tow a boat on the weekend. Only thing I notice was small bumps are a lil noisy but I'm not complaining. Great product.

Bought a complete set of Gabriel Shocks a little more than a year ago and they had already worn out. On every big bump my rear end was bottoming out. Changed out the shocks and took it down the road to the worst dips and was very surprised at how smooth the truck handled the road. Very Happy!!

My truck is getting close to 70K on the clock and the OE shocks were pretty well done. I did a bit of online research looking at reviews and some Chevy/GMC truck forums and decided on these Monroe Reflex Monotubes. I'm VERY pleased. The overall handling, ride and braking is greatly improved. They're well worth the money--I wish I'd replaced the old shocks sooner !

Comments about Monroe Reflex Monotube Shock Absorber:

Had old junk shocks and suspension is tired from driving very bumpy roads. have 137000 miles on 04 Silverado. got four of these. with lifetime warranty as long as I have the receipt which is an awesome deal. do not even try to unbolt the top nuts on the front shocks its a waste of your life. after installation could not believe the difference that just new shocks made. my truck used to squat in the rear on acceleration and these shocks eliminated that.it feels more responsive on acceleration though stiffer ride its a good kind of stiff. should've put them on years ago. if you have an older z71 these will make you very happy.
