Check Vehicle Fit

Monroe® OESpectrum® struts are engineered specifically for foreign nameplate vehicles and feature the latest global original equipment valving technologies. Developed through years of research and on-vehicle testing, Monroe® OESpectrum® units provide an unprecedented level of handling precision and control while filtering out the ride harshness commonly encountered on many foreign nameplate applications. This unique blend of control and comfort is made possible through Tenneco's 'Twin Technology™ Active Control System', an exclusive internal damping control technology first developed for leading global vehicle manufacturers. Tenneco's Twin Technology™ consists of its latest Impact Control Valve (ICV), which delivers exceptional control under virtually all driving conditions, and a patented Low Speed Tunability (LST) piston design that isolates impact-related noise, vibration and harshness.

Product Features:
  • All Weather Fluid: Contains special modifiers to reduce friction and ensure smooth rod reaction.
  • Rod Displaced Valving: Tuned specifically for each application, this valving automatically adjusts to road extremes to provide consistency and ride comfort.
  • Fluon Banded Piston: The fluon band provides consistent sealing between the piston and pressure tube which delivers better control and increased durability.
  • Twin Technology™: Impact Control Valve (ICV), delivers exceptional control under virtually all driving conditions, and patented Low Speed Tunability (LST) piston design that isolates impact-related noise, vibration and harshness.
  • Hardened and Chrome Plated Piston Rod: Long service life.
  • Nitrogen Gas Charged: For improved ride and handling, helps maintain tire to road contact by reducing aeration - on most applications
  • Unique Rod Guide and Single Lip Seal: Bronze reinforced rod guide bearing and special seal provides longer service life and consistent performance.
  • Special Dust Boot/Jounce Bumper: Protective dust boot reduces dirt and any moisture build-up. Jounce bumper helps prevent severe suspension movement. Dust boot & jounce bumper sold separately.

Noiser than OEMs with 109k on them

By

Comments about Monroe OESpectrum Strut:

03 Accord with 109k. Figured it was time for new struts. What a mistake! The OEM struts were WAY better than these. My once quite Accord now makes muffled rattling noises over bumps...sounds like suspension is loose. I hate it. Guess I'll be buying KYBs, like I should have done to begin with.

    Comments about Monroe OESpectrum Strut:

These perform worse than the OEM struts did with 100K. Now I'm shopping to replace these after only a few miles. The rebound is poorly controlled and my Accord bobs and shutters after bumps. Should have left the OEMs in place :-( Don't waste your $ on these.

        A:

Depends on the car, some have 4, some have 2 and some don't have any struts. . If you could provide us with the year, make, model and engine size of your vehicle we would be more than happy to see if we carry the right part you are looking for.
