Check Vehicle Fit

Monroe® OESpectrum® shock absorbers are engineered specifically for foreign nameplate vehicles and feature the latest global original equipment valving technologies. Developed through years of research and on-vehicle testing, Monroe® OESpectrum® units provide an unprecedented level of handling precision and control while filtering out the ride harshness commonly encountered on many foreign nameplate applications. This unique blend of control and comfort is made possible through Tenneco's 'Twin Technology™ Active Control System', an exclusive internal damping control technology first developed for leading global vehicle manufacturers. Tenneco's Twin Technology™ consists of its latest Impact Control Valve (ICV), which delivers exceptional control under virtually all driving conditions, and a patented Low Speed Tunability (LST) piston design that isolates impact-related noise, vibration and harshness.

Product Features:
  • All Weather Fluid: Contains special modifiers to reduce friction and ensure smooth rod reaction.
  • Full Displaced Valving: Tuned specifically for each application, this valving automatically adjusts to road extremes to provide consistency and ride
  • Fluon Banded Piston: The fluon band provides consistent sealing between the piston and pressure tube which delivers better control and increased durability.
  • Twin Technology™: Impact Control Valve (ICV), delivers exceptional control under virtually all driving conditions, and patented Low Speed Tunability (LST) piston design that isolates impact-related noise, vibration and harshness.
  • Nitrogen Gas Charged: For improved ride and handling, helps maintain tire to road contact by reducing aeration - on most applications
  • Special Seal: 'Self-lubricating' fluid seal designed to retain gas without excessive wear or friction.
  • 1-3/8 inch (34.9 mm) bore (On most applications)
  • 5/8-inch (15.9 mm) diameter piston rod (On most applications)

Comments about Monroe OESpectrum Light Truck Shock Absorber:

Needed to replace the OE shocks after 218,000 miles, these work perfectly on my '05 Escape and have a lifetime warranty! The shocks fit perfectly and were a snap to replace after you figure out how to remove the interior panel trim to get at the top retaining nuts on the shocks. Nothing against Monroe, that's a Ford issue. A pop out cover like the old Taurus wagons have would have been greatly appreciated. My ride quality is now equal to or probably better than new. Monroe shocks are great quality a good price from Advance Auto Parts and even better with the Speed Perks discounts!

Comments about Monroe OESpectrum Light Truck Shock Absorber:

2007 Ford Escape OE shock broke so I tried to DIY. Ordered shocks online, got 20% discount. These shocks were better than OE and took 30 minutes each side to replace. At least Ford left one major repair that the average guy can do himself.
