Check Vehicle Fit

Monroe® OESpectrum® shock absorbers are engineered specifically for foreign nameplate vehicles and feature the latest global original equipment valving technologies. Developed through years of research and on-vehicle testing, Monroe® OESpectrum® units provide an unprecedented level of handling precision and control while filtering out the ride harshness commonly encountered on many foreign nameplate applications. This unique blend of control and comfort is made possible through Tenneco's 'Twin Technology™ Active Control System', an exclusive internal damping control technology first developed for leading global vehicle manufacturers. Tenneco's Twin Technology™ consists of its latest Impact Control Valve (ICV), which delivers exceptional control under virtually all driving conditions, and a patented Low Speed Tunability (LST) piston design that isolates impact-related noise, vibration and harshness.

Product Features:
  • All Weather Fluid: Contains special modifiers to reduce friction and ensure smooth rod reaction.
  • Full Displaced Valving: Tuned specifically for each application, this valving automatically adjusts to road extremes to provide consistency and ride
  • Fluon Banded Piston: The fluon band provides consistent sealing between the piston and pressure tube which delivers better control and increased durability.
  • Twin Technology™: Impact Control Valve (ICV), delivers exceptional control under virtually all driving conditions, and patented Low Speed Tunability (LST) piston design that isolates impact-related noise, vibration and harshness.
  • Nitrogen Gas Charged: For improved ride and handling, helps maintain tire to road contact by reducing aeration - on most applications
  • Special Seal: 'Self-lubricating' fluid seal designed to retain gas without excessive wear or friction.
  • 1-3/8 inch (34.9 mm) bore (On most applications)
  • 5/8-inch (15.9 mm) diameter piston rod (On most applications)

Cons

  • Upper Bushings Half Size

Comments about Monroe OESpectrum Light Truck Shock Absorber:

The shocks looked fine and appear to function as designed. What drives me to distraction are the upper bushings and washers which were one half the size of the oem. Maybe this doesn't mean anything in the grand plan but you're talking about a nickel's worth of material to match the original. Is that so hard?

One of the shock boxes was missing hardware, bushings, nuts, etc. I re-used the old shock hardware because I didn't have time to chase it down.

Comments about Monroe OESpectrum Light Truck Shock Absorber:

I bought the Monroe Sensa-Trac shocks for my 2002 Isuzu Axiom. My old ones where factory original and in desperate need of replacement. The Sensa-Trac shocks were easy to install. My Axiom now has a smoother ride and better handling, especially when driving over speed bumps, pot holes and washboard gravel roads. I would definitely recommend Monroe Sensa-Trac shocks to anyone who is looking to replace OEM shocks. They are great value for the price, and they will return your car to OEM spec, nothing more, nothing less.
