Check Vehicle Fit

Monroe® OESpectrum® shock absorbers are engineered specifically for foreign nameplate vehicles and feature the latest global original equipment valving technologies. Developed through years of research and on-vehicle testing, Monroe® OESpectrum® units provide an unprecedented level of handling precision and control while filtering out the ride harshness commonly encountered on many foreign nameplate applications. This unique blend of control and comfort is made possible through Tenneco's 'Twin Technology™ Active Control System', an exclusive internal damping control technology first developed for leading global vehicle manufacturers. Tenneco's Twin Technology™ consists of its latest Impact Control Valve (ICV), which delivers exceptional control under virtually all driving conditions, and a patented Low Speed Tunability (LST) piston design that isolates impact-related noise, vibration and harshness.

Product Features:
  • All Weather Fluid: Contains special modifiers to reduce friction and ensure smooth rod reaction.
  • Full Displaced Valving: Tuned specifically for each application, this valving automatically adjusts to road extremes to provide consistency and ride
  • Fluon Banded Piston: The fluon band provides consistent sealing between the piston and pressure tube which delivers better control and increased durability.
  • Twin Technology™: Impact Control Valve (ICV), delivers exceptional control under virtually all driving conditions, and patented Low Speed Tunability (LST) piston design that isolates impact-related noise, vibration and harshness.
  • Nitrogen Gas Charged: For improved ride and handling, helps maintain tire to road contact by reducing aeration - on most applications
  • Special Seal: 'Self-lubricating' fluid seal designed to retain gas without excessive wear or friction.
  • 1-3/8 inch (34.9 mm) bore (On most applications)
  • 5/8-inch (15.9 mm) diameter piston rod (On most applications)

Comments about Monroe OESpectrum Light Truck Shock Absorber:

Installed four of these on my 2003 z71 reg cab short bed. No mods on my truck , it's bone stock except for air intake. Put on at 80,000 miles three years ago now at 110,000 they are gone. Very little off road use and some towing of lawn trailer
Bought because was all they had and dude swore they are heavy duty.

Rusted. Now one in front bump knocking and rear is not valuing on return up.

Lifetime warranty but you should not have to replace shocks so soon. Going with overload spring adjusting shocks. Put two on rear of f350 and are great.

                A:

Monroe Sensa-Trac shock absorbers adjust rapidly to changing road and weight conditions. This should work for your truck.

Answered on 6/24/2011 by Vincent from AAP
              • A:

Depends on whether your truck has a heavy duty suspension (heavy duty springs).

Shocks won't soften heavy duty springs.
