Monroe® OESpectrum® shock absorbers are engineered specifically for foreign nameplate vehicles and feature the latest global original equipment valving technologies. Developed through years of research and on-vehicle testing, Monroe® OESpectrum® units provide an unprecedented level of handling precision and control while filtering out the ride harshness commonly encountered on many foreign nameplate applications. This unique blend of control and comfort is made possible through Tenneco's 'Twin Technology™ Active Control System', an exclusive internal damping control technology first developed for leading global vehicle manufacturers. Tenneco's Twin Technology™ consists of its latest Impact Control Valve (ICV), which delivers exceptional control under virtually all driving conditions, and a patented Low Speed Tunability (LST) piston design that isolates impact-related noise, vibration and harshness.

Product Features:
  • All Weather Fluid: Contains special modifiers to reduce friction and ensure smooth rod reaction.
  • Full Displaced Valving: Tuned specifically for each application, this valving automatically adjusts to road extremes to provide consistency and ride
  • Fluon Banded Piston: The fluon band provides consistent sealing between the piston and pressure tube which delivers better control and increased durability.
  • Twin Technology™: Impact Control Valve (ICV), delivers exceptional control under virtually all driving conditions, and patented Low Speed Tunability (LST) piston design that isolates impact-related noise, vibration and harshness.
  • Nitrogen Gas Charged: For improved ride and handling, helps maintain tire to road contact by reducing aeration - on most applications
  • Special Seal: 'Self-lubricating' fluid seal designed to retain gas without excessive wear or friction.
  • 1-3/8 inch (34.9 mm) bore (On most applications)
  • 5/8-inch (15.9 mm) diameter piston rod (On most applications)

Comments about Monroe OESpectrum Light Truck Shock Absorber:

Exact fit for 97 Nissan 4WD Pickup. Better than OEM 17 year old shocks. Much more heavy duty than originals. Brought back a smoother ride.

Comments about Monroe OESpectrum Light Truck Shock Absorber:

I put this product on a daily driver and its a great deal better than stock equipment. Easily installed, exact fit, and everything the manufacture said it was. The ride is wonderfull, speed bumps are easily navigated, as well as rough roads, like new jersey, where a pot hole is a foot deep.It feels like a new vehicle even though it is 16 years old. The instillation was simple, especially when I sprayed penetrant on all hardware for three days before install. I would totally reccomend this product and you do not have to be a mechanic to install.

I use these on the front of my truck because of potholes. I use Gasmatics on the rear as I don't haul anything. It has definitely improved my handling and fuel economy. Great thing at 3.60/gal
