The Max-AirĀ® shock absorber is ideal for vehicles that haul heavy loads or tow trailers. Designed to maintain level vehicle height, they can be inflated or deflated as needed...from 20 psi to 150 psi with the vehicle loaded. Capacity is limited by vehicle suspension, tires and transmission. See vehicle owner's manual for details.

Product Features:
  • 1/2 inch Piston Rod: Hardened and precision ground rod for consistent performance and long service life.
  • All Weather Fluid: Contains special modifiers to reduce friction and ensure smooth rod reaction.
  • Full Displaced Valving: Better valving range on both the compression and extension cycles of the unit for a smooth comfortable ride.
  • Large Volume Air Chamber: Inflates up to 150 psi with vehicle loaded. Deflates for normal driving.
  • Lubricated Air Sleeve: Reduces friction for longer service life. Provides smoother operation during suspension movement.
  • Sintered Iron Piston: Stronger than traditional metals, enhances durability for longer service life.
  • Special Air Fitting: Resists air leakage.

      do these shocks replace the factory, auto adjust air shocks in a 2002 Cadillac Escalade EXT (the pickup)????

      they seem to be extremely inexpensive in comparison to the other products that range from 220 per shock to 400 per shock.
      what am i missing here????

The Max-Air shock absorber is ideal for vehicles that haul heavy loads or tow trailers. It is designed to maintain level vehicle height, they can be inflated or deflated as needed from 20 psi to 150 psi with the vehicle loaded. A pair can maintain ride height when up to 1,100 lbs of additional weight are loaded.

      what is all required for installation on 2000 gmc Yukon slt 5.3 motor. need 2 rear shocks. and would like to only have one air pressure fill location...( picture for part# ma 830 depicts two shocks and an air line kit.) so what do I need to order these will be mail order as I don't have a store close to me thanks

        Hi Jon, I'm happy to help! This shock absorber is for the rear and is sold individually. For air pressure fill system you would also need the Monroe Shock Absorber Air Hose Kit - Part No. AK64. These parts will be enough for a complete installation. Here is the link -

        I just helped a neighbor install a pair of these in their 05 Suburban 1500 with AutoRide. The air shocks inflate just fine with the rebuilt oem compressor. Since the shocks are non-electronic with passive damping they do trigger the "service air ride" light. We hope to bypass the warning signal once the correct bypass resistors are acquired. The Suburban DOES ride well now.
