Comments about Monroe Magnum Steering Damper:

This is noted to be a "perfect fit". NOT!! 1 3/4 inches to long. Also noted as being a Monroe. NOT!! Heading back to Advance with all the parts I purchased for a refund. Will never use Advance Auto even if I need a shop rag. Poor place to waste my time & money. More than upset.

An exact fit, took about ten minutes to put in. Wish it had a rubber dust cap to increase life. Built better than stock. No complaints at all.

Comments about Monroe Magnum Steering Damper:

Purchased to replace the OEM on a 2000 Ford Excursion 4x4, 7.3L diesel. This product has a circular flange that does not exist on the OEM and thus causes problems on installation. Also, the metal sleeve encased in the rubber is about 1/16" inches longer than OEM and thus the only way to get it in the original bracket is to use a grinder to remove the excess metal. Any Excursion owners should be warned! Otherwise, it's in place now and seems to do a good job. It is definitely beefier and adds more drag than the original.
