Comments about Monroe Load Adjusting Shock Absorber:

This shock system was easy to install with the use of a jack. The hardest part of the entire install was just getting the bolts out from the factory torque.

I purchased these shocks to shore up the extra pressure on the rear of the vehicle when towing a trailer. If you pull any type of loads with your Jeep I would for sure purchase these. They may however be a bit too stiff for the casual driver that does not tow anything.

Comments about Monroe Load Adjusting Shock Absorber:

I just bought a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lorado with 175,000 miles and still had the original shocks and struts. These were easy to install and gives my jeep a very nice ride. I definetly recommend this product!

      A little stiff but...

Comments about Monroe Load Adjusting Shock Absorber:

I bought these mainly to firm up the mushy suspension, but they are good for keeping rear level when towing. At first I thought " oh no, these are much to stiff" but they softened up a bit after breakin. They provide better stabilty and cornering then stock shocks, and work even better under load.In addition, they raised the rear about an inch. NICE. Now I am looking for height adjustable struts so I can level the vehicle. Bigger tires will then fit.

      • Q:

Monroe Sensa-Trac Load Adjusting Shock shows a pair or 2 in the picture. Are 2 shocks included in the listed price or is the listed price per each? It is unclear in the description yet the picture would indicate a pair. Please clarify.

      • Q:

My 2006 jeep grand cherokee limited has a factory tow/haul package there isnt a coil spring on the shocks, I pull a small pontoon boat a short distance. Should I upgrade to the Sensa-Trac load adjusting shocks with the coil spring or will that decrease the comfort when not hauling/towing or do you recomend staying with the Re Flex light truck shock.
Asked on 1/12/2013 by Larry from Chicago

        • CUSTOMER CARE

          A:

Yes, I would recommend the Monroe Sensa-Trac Load Adjusting Shock Absorber - Part No. 58646 for towing application over the Monroe Reflex Light Truck Shock Absorber - Part No. 911278. The Sensa-trac will not decrease the comfort when you are not hauling/towing .
