I added these to a 1987 F150 that was starting to wallow. They restored that Great F150 ride! I used these along with helper springs for towing a utility trailer, they work great!

I have a pair of these on my 92 F150 and 97 Explorer. It raises the rear of the vehicle about 2 inches. The ride quality is slightly stiffer, but not too harsh.

Comments about Monroe Load Adjusting Shock Absorber:

goes on well, but you may need a small floor jack to press the shock up into the lower mount. Lifts the bed off the tires. Hanen't try a heavy load yet ,but I feel it wii handle it.

Hi Dave! This Monroe Load Adjusting Shock Absorber - Part No. 58601 does not fit with 1996 Ford F250 with 8800 lb GVW For Towing Hauling.
