Comments about Monroe Load Adjusting Shock Absorber:

Being this is a US company you would think they took pride in making sure EVERYTHING made it into the box with shocks but NOPE. Got set for rear , started putting on and found that they shorted a shock of hardware. They only include 1 shock bottom shaft/bolt and spacer. which makes it impossible to install shock on 77 caprice as shaft/bolt is made on to original shocks and can not be transfered , whole reason they include hardware.I guess this box was packed by a drunk american on a friday about quiting time!!!!

I have a 1967 Olds 442, when I put front disc brakes the spindle drop it. I have the stock tire height but have 16" Olds SSI wheels. When go over a bump in out driveway or like a speed bump the tire will rub the top of the wheel well. Will these stop that with a firm shock. I have the stock Monroe shocks on it.

                  A:

Yes, Hammer, these shocks come as a towing and hauling specialty load adjusting shocks. You mentioned that you have the 16" SSI wheels with the stock tire height and unless it doesn't exceed stock height and rim width, you are good to use and will not cause the rubbing on wheel well issues.
