Comments about Monroe Sensa-Trac Load Adjusting Shock Absorber:

Put these on a 1992 s10 4x2 a few days ago. My s10 is a daily driver and a pasture beater and boy were the front shocks toast. I put these bad boys on and they raised the front stance several inches, back to the way she was when she came off the assembly line, maybe even a little taller. I paired these with the Monro Max-Air adjustable shocks for the rear. Couldn't be happier with both of them.

          • Q:

It shows these will work on a 1979 Gran Prix. I don't want the front end raised much, how much will it bring it up? Also, it has springs up front, but the shock absorbers are shot. Do I use these with the springs, or are they suppose to be used alone? :/

          • Q:

The item reads that it comes as a package of two... Does this mean that I only need to purchase one package for both sides or will I still need to purchase two packages, one package for each side? Also, while reading the customer reviews someone mentioned that the purchase of this product was better than purchasing springs?? My car failed inspection stating that I need shocks and springs. If I make the purchase of this item will I still need to purchase the springs along with this product? (88 Monte Carlo)

            • CUSTOMER CARE

              A:

The twin tube shock absorbers will fit for either the front driver side or front passenger side. Two packages are required to complete the job for both the sides. It is recommended to replace the shock absorbers with the coil springs.

            • CUSTOMER CARE

              A:

You may have scrubbing depending on your vehicle since you are putting larger wheels on it than what came with your vehicle from the factory.
