Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic Passenger Car Shock Absorber:

There was no hardware pack in two of the boxes , I had to go and purchase more nuts to be able to install. Very poor product quality control. How can one box have everything and the other missing everything.
The cartons were factory sealed and not opened.

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic Passenger Car Shock Absorber:

Great fit for a 1966 mustang. fairly easy to replace. Do not expect high end performance but this product will function as it was designed to. Do not use on heavy vehicles or modified rear suspensions (e.g lowered ride height) as you will need something stiffer. Has great rebound and for the price you can't argue with it's performance

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic Passenger Car Shock Absorber:

This was listed to fit my 69 Ford Fairlane, however it does not come with the right bushings. It also does not match any part number sold by Monroe

    • Q:

I purchased two shocks for my 1966 Mustang on 2/7/1997. They were covered by a Liimited Lifetime Warranty. The shocks haave given me good service but they are in need for replacment. I have the original store receipt for them. I do not see that brand listed in your site anymore. I do see the Monroe brand replacement. Question: Will my shocks be replace by the Monroe brand of equal value? If so, I will accept the Monroe brand.

        A:

Hi Larry Kolb, glad to help you! Please note that we will replace any part (same part number, brand) that may fail due to a defect in materials or workmanship under normal use and service after proper installation, within the warranty period stated on your original sales receipt. In your case, I see that the part you purchased is not available online. I would suggest you to return the defective part for a refund and repurchase a different brand/ item which fits your application as per your choice on our website. The part in question, if within the warranty period, can be returned to any Advance Auto Parts store along with your original receipt and the Store Manager will be in a better position to assist you with your warranty replacement or refund inquiry.
