These shocks are amazing. I have used them in many of my personal trucks. Just recently did my rear the other day again, and AGAIN I used these. To the person who said they were to short, if you have 4wd, they are going to be too short, if you look, Advance has 2 different Rear Monroe shocks...One for RWD (2 wheel drive) and one for 4WD. If you have 4WD the RWD shocks will be too short, MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT ONES NEXT TIME!

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

Bought these shocks for my Dads 2003 Dodge Durango SLT because he had over 130,000 miles on the stock shocks. Yep, one of those people. So, I replaced them for him. A basic metric ratchet kit will work plus an 18mm socket and I strongly recommend that you also have an Air Ratchet to do the Job. This will makes it much easier to take off the Old, and Install the New. It takes less the 15 minutes to replace the shocks once you have the spare tire off. Now his SUV rides like it did when he bought it from the dealer. Gave it 4 stars do too it being stock replacement. You get what you pay for. Over all these are good shocks.

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

These are great shocks. I had a different set that were not completely worn out but they had 80,000 miles so I installed these Monroes and the ride quality is 100 times better. It is nice and firm, just like a new truck again. My truck handles rough roads and bumps in the road surface a lot better, hardly even feel it and when I drive on a bad road the suspension is still very firm. These Monroe shocks improved the handling too. I don't know how they would do off-road, I don't go off road or do any towing. These Gas Matic LT's are a great shock for normal everyday driving. I would recommend these to anyone who needs a good quality shock for normal use.

had to purchase new bolts, nuts & found washers that worked. at another store
