Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

Bought these shocks for my Dads 2003 Dodge Durango SLT because he had over 130,000 miles on the stock shocks. Yep, one of those people. So, I replaced them for him. A basic metric ratchet kit will work but I strongly recommend that you also have an Air Ratchet to do the Job. This will makes it much easier to take off the Old, and Install the New. It takes less the 10 minutes to replace the shocks once you have the tires off. Now his SUV rides like it did when he bought it from the dealer. Gave it 4 stars do too it being stock replacement. You get what you pay for. Over all these are good shocks.

They install fairly easy if you have jackstands and the right tools, however,I installed mine on a 2003 Durango on 6/6/2010 and by 3/1/2011,the truck bounces almost uncontrollably ,(more than 4 bounces after a small bump at highway speed). Do yourself a favor, buy the best ,most performance oriented product you can afford or,like me,you'll be replacing the product within a year.might be fine for a small truck with a small engine(less weight on the front end),but not so good for a v8 Durango

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

Installed on my 2000 Dodge Dakota. Greatly improved the ride but then again, the old shocks were shot! Beware of changing shocks on a 10 year old Northern vehicle. Salt & slush take their toll. It took 10 hours to complete including air tools, ramps and torches. Don't re-install the old bottom bolts.

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

These front shocks were purchased for my 2001 Dodge Dakota as basic shock absorber replacements. They we're not difficult to install and corrected the "bouncy" ride caused by my old and worn shocks. These are a good, economical choice for replacement shocks.
