Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

Finally swapped out the original rear shocks after 200,000+ miles on an Astro Van. After uninstalling the old shocks I could compress them together & they wouldn't re-expand or did so very slowly - they needed replaced. However, I'm a bit dissappointed I don't notice an improvement in the ride.

Online titles for shocks aren't descriptive enough. The original shocks I asked for ended up being for the front - I needed rear. Had to make 3 trips to the store (2nd time was to return the original purchase and order the correct ones, 3rd trip to go back and pick them up).

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

I prefer KYB or other shocks as I've had bad experiences with Monroe in the past. But these were a good price for a vehicle I don't expect to keep that long and have done fine thus far.

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

The only little problem I had was, I had to go to 2 different stores to complete my four shock absorbers. But other than that I will always shop at Advance Auto Parts. Thanks

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

When these replacement shocks were put on at 109,000 miles, (replacing the orig. GM HD shocks) the back end of the van started sagging with half full cargo area. Hooked up the boat and it looked like it was going to launch into space, the front was so high! If I could I would put the 9yr old shocks back on.
