PN 59331: Normally I've had great experience with Monroe branded products over the years but this pair of front shocks were very disappointing. Both shocks failed in less than 25,000 easy (no off road) miles. Both shocks lost their gas and leaked fluid. No corrosion was noted, so cosmetically they looked good. The life time warranty saves additional cost. Easy install or I'd be upset in having to change these out after such a short duration.

Would not recommend this shock for a coil spring front suspension. Never experienced the death wobble with my Jeep Cherokee until I put these shocks on. Replaced with Sensa-Trac Light Truck shocks and the death wobble is gone.

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

These shocks did a great job of restoring the original feel of the jeep. They are not nearly as heavy duty as some other options, but they are definitely way better than worn out original shocks. Get something more expensive if you want a shock upgrade, otherwise these will give you a stock ride.

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

This product comes with hardware to mount at the top only. You have to provide the 5/16ths nuts, bolts and washers to mount the bottom end. They don't tell you that in advance and that is about as cheap as you can get. Do they really think that the old ones that have been on for so many years are still servicable?

Nice for the price. I needed someone else to install them because I don't have the tools or space to do it in. The install was fast.
