Bought these for replacement for a 2002 Jeep Wrangler. The Monroe shocks have a bigger piston and more dampening effect. Have notice better control and less sway. These are great shocks and priced very well outstanding warranty. I have been using Monroe shocks and struts for the last 30 years. I would highly recommend to anyone replaceing OEM shocks or struts. Easy to install detailed insructions and online support. No cons just a overall good product and company to work with.

Did the job, just fine.

OEM Shocks were shot. This is just a temporary replacement before I lift the Jeep. Had them over 6 weeks. They are performing just fine.

Will step up and go Rancho next set...these will only be on about a year. These felt cheap out of the box.

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

Great product for the price. These are a temporary replacement until I get the money to put on better performance shocks. Installation easy if you don't have rusted bolts. Took 30 minutes to install rear shocks with PB Blaster. Took 2-3 hrs for each front shock. Bolts completely rusted. Had to cut them off.

For the money, these are a good deal. I used a coupon that let me take $50 off a $100 purchase. So I bought front and rear, and some GoJo to clean up afterwards (plus bring it over $100!). The shocks were easy to install, and my TJ rides fine. I don't go hardcore off roading, but when I do put it in 4WD, they take the bumps and ruts with no issue.

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

I do not work much on newer vehicles but I bought these shocks and thought I could save money as they looked like they would be easy to install. The job took about 20 minutes per side and the shocks went in really easy. The ride is much better than the OEM shocks. Hardest part was taking the breather off of the passenger side fender well.
