bare minumium shock

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

If the advance auto parts info would have stated this is a marginal shock, I would have been inclined to buy a top end shock. These shocks should not even be listed for a 4 wheel drive vehicle.

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

Website didn't differentiate between these and the 4x4 version. Comparing the front specs (normal and 4x4 versions) and the rear specs helped in deciding these were for the 2x4 version and the others were the 4x4 version.
I installed all four shocks at the same time. The rear were slightly harder to install. I had to use a jack to raise the rear end high enough to fasten these on. Three bolts later each were on simple enough. I cut the retaining strap while still jacked up and avoided any issues with cutting them.

Comments about Monroe Gas-Matic LT Shock Absorber:

the shocks are used on my everyday driver they respond very well to all road conditions, they are a good buy for the price. the only problem was installing the front shock, it was not banded together like the rears, so you have to squeeze it together to put in. other than that it is a nice ride.
