{Thats were it melts and drops off} I bought the Lucas red n tacky because it has heat rating at 540 deg. 1/2 the price here too. Much better sticking power. Advance has it here. Lucas has a synthetic race grease with a 560 high temp if you need it any higher called G3.

About a 1/3 to 1/2 of the grease separated into tranny viscosity oil leaving a void in gun and a runny oily mess all over my shelving, everything below it and the floor.

This is in response to JR.'s review about the dropping point temperature being low. I think your looking at Celsius instead of Fahrenheit JR. The actual specs for dropping point for this grease is 550 degrees Fahrenheit (or 288 degrees Celsius). Right in the same range as the other greases you like.

Performs extremely well on those noisy Toyota Tacoma multi point greasable point drive shaft. Never had to grease a drive shaft on a vehicle until I purchased this one, but this product is the answer. Handles the heat and also the cold when is when it really squeaks.

I needed a wheel bearing grease that could
withstand the demanding use in large vehicle applicant. I researched various synthetic grease's and this one came out on the top. This grease was also recommended by Dana Axle for grease packed steer axle bearing's. I also considered Mystik Synthetic but could not find a supplier in this area. I do not believe you can go wrong with Mobil 1.

MOBIL 1 SYNTHETIC GREASE IS THE ONLY GREASE YOU SHOULD USE. I HAVE WATCHED PEOPLE TRYING TO SAVE A PENNY BY BUYING CHEAPER GREASE. THEY WERE CONSTANTLY REPLACING BEARINGS AND PARTS DUE TO LACK OF LUBRICATION. THIS GREASE HAS THE HEAT TOLERANCE AND STABILITY TO STAND UP UNDER SEVERE CONDITIONS. DON'T SKIMP ON THE SMALL STUFF.

                          A:

Happy to help you with your question Hubb! You should be able to use this grease for your snowmobile with very little to no issue. Because you are using it on a snowmobile it is suitable in temperatures ranging from -40degressF to 302degrees F. This grease is also NLGI-GC-LB certified for both chassis and wheel bearing lubrication. With use of this grease I suggest getting the Performance Tools Piston Grip Grease Gun (Part No W54204).

I have been trying to replace a tube of grease (Mobil 1-Epic, EP 102, red color) I used on an outdoor wheel chair lift (screw lift) that is subject to both temperature extremes outside in the Rocky Mountain area. I have run out of the product and am having difficulty finding the same thing to replace it. It has been the only grease that holds up for more 8 months.

It is suitable for wide operating range of -40 C (- 40 F) to 150 C (302 F). This should work fine for your application.
