I purchased these hub lockouts as a replacement for the fragile and complicated ESOF hub lockouts on my 04 Ford F250. The cost of this pair was about half of one of the replacement OEM hubs that were seized and I still had other vacuum issues above the hubs to solve. I am pretty sure the vacuum solenoid was also gone.

These both installed in under an hour but I think one more split ring shim would make for a more secure install. The lockouts with the single ring installed can still move in and out in the hub housing about the width that a second ring would be.

The locking/unlocking action is smooth and easy so no complaints there.

If I had to mention one serious annoyance is that the height of the new lockout is about 1.5" shorter than the stock hub lockout so it is recessed in an area below the opening in the open-center Ford 4wd front hub caps. Not only does it look like garbage and encourages mud and debis trapping but I have big hands and reaching through the hub cap opening is such a chore I just removed the front hub caps entirely. This also doesn't look very good but at least function is 100% and I don't end up packing the open hub caps with mud.

I would recommend these on cost and dependability alone. The recent ice storm found me without a way to make the front axle engage in 4wd with the messed up ESOF and unless you truly test it basically daily you have no data from the truck that will tell you it is not working at the front hub locks. If you can not lock the transfer case the truck will tell you, with the front hubs, you're on your own and both parts of the system have to be working to get the 4wd working. These manual locks remove the doubt one way or the other in the matter and if you get yourself in a sticky situation you need things to work.

I bought these to replace my automatic locking hubs on my 04 F 350. I've only had a chance to use them a couple of times but they lock right in and are very easy to turn. they're also very easy to install. seems to be a very good value for the money spent.

Comments about MileMarker Supreme; Manual Hub:

I spent a long time online and on forums shopping for a good price and product to replace the lousy OEM auto(crapo)matic hubs on my F350SD. I found these here for a great price and a great deal with a 15% discount plus store credit with an online purchase. They went in easy and smooth with no hitches. The directions left a little to be desired and it was unclear which lock ring(s) to use, however I used a single incomplete circle ring and all seems well thus far with that decision. They look nice, work smooth, and give me positive on-off confidence and the bonus of being able to use 4-low range in a 2wd configuration by not locking the hubs. Only draw back is the attractive stainless hub is shorter than the OEM hub caps, so it sits inside the hub cap a couple inches

This hub kit seems well made & installed easily. The instructions that were included didn't actually cover my model of truck. A quick Email to Milemarker to confirm which snap rings to use(both in my case for a 2002 Ford Superduty) & they were installed within a few minutes. Very reasonable price & the quality seems very good.

The hex nuts are indicated for a RWD truck. If you are looking to retain the automatic hubs the Spindle nut Part No. are as follows: Outer 615-121, Inner 615-122, Washer 618-042. All of these parts are sold in pairs.
