Comments about Meguiar's Fine-Cut Liquid Cleaner:
I have a shallow keying mark along my front passenger door, or perhaps it was a grocery buggy gone wild.... either way it was visible but not extremely deep but I can feel it with my finger nail.
I used this Meguiar's #2 with my DA polisher and in less than 5 minutes it was gone!

This product is a proprietary mix of abrasives (likely pumice) and petroleum solvents. I have used this with a small soft cloth (like a piece from an old flannel shirt) to polish up a small area of both new and oxidized paints. Works well. I also have a 20 year old bottle of this stuff where the emulsion has separated. The solvent portion (looks like water) will slowly dissolve newly-applied lacquer paint. I used this to level the paint I had applied to fill a scratch on my show car. The key is to take it slow and careful. I hope this helps.Q:
can this product be used on headlights1 answer

A:
This Meguiar's Fine-Cut Cleaner (Part No. M0216) can be safely applied in a car painting/body shop environment. This is a mildly abrasive cleaner that removes fine surface defects including light oxidation, stains, scratches, swirls and fresh water spots. Its special formula of buffered abrasives turns into a gentle buffing rouge, giving you a professional finish that's ready for polishing, protecting and if necessary, painting.
