      A:

I'm happy to help, Pat! This MagnaFlow Stainless Cat-Back Performance Exhaust Kit (Part No. 16675) for the 2008 Ford Fusion 3.0L V6 front wheel drive has not been tested on a dynamometer by MagnaFlow at this time. In my experience, a cat-back exhaust does not provide a large horsepower increase on most vehicles. Newer vehicles are designed to be much more efficient than in the past. You may see some small performance increases, generally in the higher RPM ranges.

One of the most important considerations when selecting an exhaust system is the exhaust tone. I suggest checking on video posting websites for the sound of the Ford Duratec 3.0L or Ford 3.0L DOHC with a Magnaflow exhaust.

If you are looking to increase your vehicle's performance, a great first option is a programmer or tuner. If it's not something you feel comfortable doing yourself, you can have a shop set up a custom tune for your vehicle as well. Many modern engines are designed to run lower octane fuel when they could take advantage of higher octane with a different tune. A tuner can also allow you to take full advantage of bolt on parts such as the catback exhaust and a cold air intake if you install one.
