Comments about MagnaFlow Direct Fit Catalytic Converter, Stainless Steel:

I like the better flowing look of this and it has a 2 piece design for the drivers side pipe making it super easy to install. Kit included the donut exhaust seals. Bolted right onto the manifolds and tailpipe. I had to buy new flange bolts and nuts. O2 sensor wiring is really tight on my 94. I had 1 stud break and had to use a torch to remove it after I pulled the manifold off. Pretty common on these trucks so plan ahead, Exhaust manifold gasket, stud kits, I put in new manifold bolts also as I'm keep this truck. Also get a manifold spreader like Lisle 13000 if you take the manifold off.

Comments about MagnaFlow Direct Fit Catalytic Converter, Stainless Steel:

This product needs a manufacturing change, before you attempt to install it check two things. 1 the spread on the flanges is to narrow you need to spread it up to 1/2 inch. 2 the angle of the flange to the manifold is off by 15 degrees. I could not get mine to seal until i took it to an exhaust shop to have them bend the tubes to fit. An aggravating and should have been an unnecessary expense.

Comments about MagnaFlow Direct Fit Catalytic Converter, Stainless Steel:

This part was not built correctly for my 1994 Blazer full size. I couldn' get it to seal up to the exhaust manifolds correctly, so I took it to an exhaust shop to see if they could. They told me they have run in to this before with the same part. They said it was not built for a proper fit to my Blazer. I am very disapointed in Magnaflow. I thought they were the best. I guess not.

Does not fit stock 1995 Chevy K1500!!

Comments about MagnaFlow Direct Fit Catalytic Converter, Stainless Steel:

Purchased this product to put on my 1995 Chevy K1500 which is all stock. After struggling and struggling to get the flanges to seat properly against the exhaust manifold gaskets without leakage, I decided to attach the rest of the new direct fit exhaust to see if everything might align. Nope.....with the rest of the exhaust system attached, the rear ends of the manifold flanges had about 1/8 inch gap that would not seat against the manifold gaskets. I called Magnaflow tech support, and they told me that it should fit, and they were unaware of any issues with this part. Not very helpful.......Needless to say, it is getting returned. I purchased another brand, and it fit fine with ease.

Comments about MagnaFlow Direct Fit Catalytic Converter, Stainless Steel:

This is a great looking part with quality workmanship... problem is after you bolt it on if you can get it on is... it seems like the flanged ends at the manifolds are turned inward and do not fit over the donuts correctly. I will now need to take my truck to a shop to have them try to bend the pipe some to get them to seal around the donuts. they are like 1/4 to 1/2 inch off after you get the drivers side bolted on and then getting the other side on was a pain but that still don't correct the flanges as they are still turned in causing exhaust leaks on both sides. Please check your template FlowMax and fix this for the rest of your customers. Would not recommend in current state.
