Q: Trying to remove ignition lock cylinder for a 1989-5.0 Mustang.
Is it easy to remove this or do I have to remove the steering wheel and a lot of stuff. Looked at videos and some models have button to push to release it. others say drilling. Mine is inclosed in cast aluminum housing. cant find any holes to push probe into to release the pin on cylinder. there is one allen head bolt holding the lock ignition lever on. there are two allen head bolts on steering wheel side. Not sure what else may hold things together.

        A:

Turn the key to the accessory position, insert a paper clip into the little hole on the face of the lock cylinder to release the lock pin, turn the key a little further in a counter clock-wise direction and the lock cylinder will pull out.
