How is this installed? Should I replace the mounting bracket/spring assembly also or is this part the usual culprit in pulley "chirping" The car application is a 1994 Pontiac Sunbird LE 2.0L(4 cylinder) with 86k original miles. Thanks in advance for your help.

        A:

Hi Hank, for help with your project, I recommend purchasing a Haynes or Chilton repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts. The repair manual part number is 38015. I would suggest that you take your vehicle and get it thoroughly checked by a certified mechanic before buying any parts that may/may not solve the problem.
