Comments about Liquid Wrench Chain Lube:

Since we, the wife and I, no longer own motorcycles with chains (we've gone totally shaft drive), we no longer use Liquid Wrench Chain Lube on our bikes. But, I have found it works very well on the tracks of the sliding glass storm door and the rails of the back deck Sun Setter rails. Without it, due to recent wind damage to one of the supporting rails, the bride cannot pull the awning up unless it is well lubricated with the Liquid Wrench Chain Lube. It tends to last for several months even in the severest of rain. Previously used this chain lube on a Yamaha 450 with a chain and discovered its other excellent uses.

This was on sale so I got some for my motocross bike, I've been kinda' bad about always keeping my chain lubed, I got enough so there is never an excuse not to do it. What does it take 2 minutes, and will make my chain last.

Comments about Liquid Wrench Chain Lube:

This is a great product. It gets into every nook and cranny just like their break free products. It Goes on thin but slowly thickens to a heavy gell grease. Its great for lubing joints on heavy equipment in places that don't have grease zurks. I use it on everything from cables to gearing. I originally bought this Product to coat steel parts to protect them from rust. Most lubes are either to thin to last or to thick to get into tight joints. I Use this on my plows to stop road salt corrosion and wouldn't use anything else.

Comments about Liquid Wrench Chain Lube:

Works great on a bike chain that's has not been used in 12 years put 10 miles on the bike that afternoon. The straw keep popping off while I used it so I just went and sprayed without using the straw. this product also will work on garage door openers I also sprayed some on the door hinges and it quieted them down. for the bad of the product I just really did not see any bad of the product it had done what I had expected it to do. I believe that it does work better than the over rated WD-40 which I no longer use.

for 3$ more, get a better brand

    Pros

    • Applicator Snaps To Lid
    • Competetive Price
    • It~'~~s Cheaper
    • Lubricates

    Cons

    • Tar Buildup After 50miles

    Best Uses

    • Non Motorcycle Lube

Comments about Liquid Wrench Chain Lube:

For motorcycle chain lube, I would not recommend this product. This is why:

This is a cheap product that lubricates. However, it causes a significant tar buildup after a short amount of time 50-100 miles. At this rate, I'm having to clean and lube my chain every 100 miles, which is a more often than I'd like. This also means I'll have to end up replacing the bottle of lube earlier--so in the end, the money saved has been lost--and I have spent a greater investment in time--which is worth a lot more than the 3-5$ saved.

I'd recommend spending 3-5$ more on a product that will last longer and cause less buildup on a motorcycle chain. A motorcycle is something you want properly maintained--your life depends on it. For other products where your life isn't directly at stake, I'd probably go with this brand.

Seems to get into chains real nice and stay there, I use it after every other ride. Also works on cables as a lube. Maybe not the best stuff, but good for most purposes.

Comments about Liquid Wrench Chain Lube:

Liquid Wrench Chain Lube is a great product by Radiator Specialty Company. This chain lube formula has many uses. It is designed primarily for chain and cable applications.
Liquid Wrench Chain Lube lubricates and protects applied areas from rusting oxidation. After application it instantly reduces friction and quiets a noisy chain. The formula sticks to the applied area and does not sling off from gravity, hard use, or water. The lube is easily applied to pinpoint areas with the included spray tube. With a simple application of this spray lubricant you extend the life of chains, sprockets, and cables. With normal use, one can should last a long time.
