    Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    By Luke

Comments about K & W Chemical FiberLock Head Gasket and Block Repair:

Product does seal, I will give it that. The problem is that it sealed my radiator before the product ever got to the engine! Now this could be due to the fact that a radiator on a Honda Civic has very small ports, but then again, the product claims it can be used in any automobile. It has a very thick consistency, even when shaken well. Maybe it could get to the engine on a bigger vehicle with a huge radiator, but I am not convinced. I would give zero stars if it was an option. I will follow up if the company actually honors the Double Money-Back guarantee or if I get the run around. Ended up having to buy a new car!

I DON'T LIKE WASTING MY TIME AT ALL SO HEED MY RAVE ABOUT THIS MEGA-AWESOME PRODUCT! EVERYONE HAS TO KNOW ABOUT THE HEAD GASKET LEAK I HAD IN MY CHEVY S10 PICKUP 2.2L (NOTORIOUS FOR LEAKY HEADS) EXPERIENCE & K&W FIBERLOCK TAKING CARE OF IT!! IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE DISAPPOINTED W/ NEGATIVE RESULTS TRY THIS PRODUCT! OK! IT'S ALMOST WINTER HERE IN CONNECTICUT & FEELING THE PRESSURE OF HAVING TO GO OUTSIDE POP OPEN THE HOOD & KEEP ADDING FLUID TO THE RADIATOR ON THE COLDEST DAYS OF THE YEAR HAD ME ALL SUPER PO'D! SO ON THE MORNING OF 09/17/14 I WENT TO ADVANCE AUTO IN STAFFORD SPRINGS, CT W/ AN ATTITUDE THAT COULD CHOKE A HORSE! A CASHIER NAMED CHRIS M. ASKED ME PLESANTLY "HOW'S YOUR MORNING?" I STARTED GRUMBELING ABOUT MY TRUCK HAVING A HEAD-GASKET LEAK AMONGST OTHER THINGS AS I WALKED OVER TOWARDS THE SEALERS SECTION. HE (CHRIS) CAME OVER TO ME & STARTED TO TALK TO ME ABOUT PERSONAL EXPERIENCES HE & HIS BOSS WERE CONFRONTED WITH, PERTAINING TO LEAKY HEADS "MY BOSS PUT THIS STUFF INTO HIS BMW & HE HAD PUT IT INTO A 95 CHEVY 2.2L & IT DEFINATELY WORKED" WELL I HAVE A 94 2.2L & CONSIDERING IT WORKED FOR THEM I'D GIVE IT A TRY. HE THEN SAID IT WAS $36.(4X THE AMOUNT MORE THAN I HAD EXPECTED) BUT THE BOTTOM LINE IS "THIS STUFF ACTUALLY WORKS" TO MY AMAZEMENT! IT'S BEEN A WEEK NOW & HAVE NOT ADDED ANY COOLANT WHAT-SO-EVER! I GUESS YOUR ALSO ASKING WHY AM I USING CAPITAL LETTERS IT'S CAUSE OF MY EXCITEMENT THAT SOMEONE LIKE CRC (THE MAKERS OF THIS AWESOME PRODUCT) COULD COME WITH SUCH A PRODUCT! DO SOME ONLINE RESERCH ON YOUR OWN & CHECK OUT THE CONSTITUANTS THAT ARE IN THIS AMAZING PRODUCT! I COULD GO ON BUT I'LL LEAVE IT UP TO YOU TO DO YOUR HOMEWORK: WATERGLASS, COPPER, ALUMINUM & KEVLAR! I AM GUIDED BY A HIGHER POWER & IT HAS BROUGHT ME TO A MUCHLY NEEDED RESOLUTION! I AM ALSO LEAVING IT IN THE SYSTEM FOR "NO MORE PROBLEMS" INSURANCE!

I tried it and it does not work as claimed. Then when I went to get the double your money back rebate. It was limited to $43.00...well I paid $35.99 for it so you can do the math where that doesn't add up. Use at your own risk!! Your better with a less expensive product.

Had a coolant leak that I couldn't find after removing and checking all hoses. Wasn't the heater core either. Had to be a gasket. Unlike other products I was looking at, this one didn't require me to flush the system...bet. No cap directly on the radiator so we had to loosen the hose and pour it in that way. Let the car idle for a 20 minutes then took it for a ride. No leaks so far. If nothing else this is a great quick temporary fix but I'm hoping it's permanent like the manufacturer boasts. If I could suggest anything it would be that they sell it in a small bottle too as I didn't even use half. Thanks!

I'm happy to help, Drewbydoo! While it is possible this will fix the leak on your 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme coming from your water pump. This product is compatible with all anti-freeze. A replacement water pump may provide a more permanent solution. There are a few water pumps available for your vehicle and some are less than this product. To find the correct water pump, make sure to enter the correct engine size for your vehicle.

                        • A:

Exhaust can indeed enter your cooling system usually evident by bubbles in the radiator. This is caused when the head gasket blows between piston cylinder and the cooling port of the head gaskets. I can not answer if this will fix it, but from what I have read about how it works, it could indeed repair the gasket, at least for a time.

Hi Dave! Good question! I need a bit more information on how your mechanic came to the conclusion that exhaust was getting into the cooling system. Did he perform a compression test? If you see white or black smoke or milky oil color, it could be a cracked head. If this is the case, the head gasket block repair will not work and you may need to replace the head.
