Comments about K-Source Replacement Glass:
This passenger side rear view mirror glass is an exact fit on my 1997 Saturn SL1 sedan (passenger mirror is electric). Two double sided pieces of tape are included for installation; they are considerably larger than the original pieces of tape which is probably good.
Installation is straightforward, and consists of prepping/cleaning the existing surface (either the backing plate like in my case, or the old mirror if sufficiently intact apparently, but then why need another?), then placing the 2 pieces of tape on the backing surface, then pressing the glass in place onto the tape. The mirror (in my case anyway) has an inner piece with an outline in which the glass goes, making proper placement of the glass rather easy.
One slight downside is that the mirror's reflection has some slight unevenness, a bit like looking at a mirror that isn't perfectly flat (though this isn't visibly so), indicating this is probably built a bit cheaper than an OEM part, hence the 4 star rating. However, this is only very slight, really hardly noticable, and does not at all detract from the function; the mirror works well and is clear.
The mirror has the inscription "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear". Not sure that reading mirror inscriptions while driving really enhances safety, but I digress..
Bottom line, I think for a car this age being able to fix the broken mirror easily and cost effectively is great, and I would not want to pay significantly more for a possibly somewhat better OEM part in this case (this might be different for a much newer or more high-end car).
