Check Vehicle Fit

The K&N AirCharger 63-6012 air intake system replaces your vehicle’s restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your vehicle’s engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 63-6012 air intake comes with a large chrome topped K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that mounts onto the inner fender. This allows cooler, denser air to be directed through a custom molded intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The oversized air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install using commonly available tools. This air intake cannot be sold in California. It is not legal for use in California or other states adopting California emission standards.

Comments about K&N Performance Intake Kit:

Purchased the filter and received 4 days later. Advance always ships quickly. Not a gear head by any stretch but decided to tackle this install myself. Instructions leave a lot of be desired for, as most of the instructions just say assemble without giving you information on the bolts to use. All the bolts arrive in one big back, so aside from the two for the mass flow sensor its a guess at times to figure out which ones go where. I completed the install in a little over an hour, and K%N recommends 90 minutes. The install was very straight forward, and didn't have to anything extra to make the truck accept the intake. I noticed immediately my Titan growls differently, and definitely meaner when I give it gas, and I'm seeing at least 1-2 mpg better performance. I will definitely be adding this to any future vehicles that I purchase.

        A:

You would have to check with your Manufacturer about your warranty policies. I have heard of some manufacturers voiding warranties with use of a K&N filter. For the best answer, I recommend contacting your local Nissan Dealership. If you do use this, you may see a small increase in power but most likely not enough to notice.
