Check Vehicle Fit

The K&N 57-3026 FIPK air intake system replaces your vehicle’s restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. K&N air intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten air flow. This allows your engine to inhale a larger amount of air than the factory air filter assembly. More air means more usable power and acceleration throughout the engine’s RPM range. The 57-3026 air intake comes with a K&N high-flow air filter and a heat shield that installs onto the inner right fender within the engine compartment. Air is directed through an aerodynamically engineered intake tube into the engine’s throttle body for a guaranteed power gain. The oversized cone shaped air filter can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed depending on driving conditions. This air intake is relatively easy to install usually in 90 minutes or less. The tools needed are a screwdriver and several wrenches. K&N 57 Series FIPK's are street legal in all 50 US states and come with K&N's Million Mile Limited Warranty.

Installed in less than 90 minutes. Could see and hear the difference in the engine. Felt more power in low range RPMs. It is worth the money.

        • Q:

I bought a used 1991 c1500 Silverado with one of these on it but with two bolts instead of three and was going to take it off to clean the carb and noticed wires going into it, looked at the online installation instructions and did not see where wires would be installed into it.
Do not want to mess with it till i know what the wires are for and how they are hooked up in it.
          Any idea or suggestions?

Happy to answer your question Matt! My first thought was a mass air flow sensor but looking at the installation diagram there does not appear to be any kind of wiring that goes with the K&N kit. The wiring may be for the throttle body injector. If you can provide an image we can give you a better idea of what it is, or you could refer to a repair manual (Part No 24065).
