Originally developed for demanding race applications, K&N's Premium Wrench-Off Oil Filter has become a favorite among consumers for its durability and easy removal. Most of our automotive and marine oil filters come with a 1 inch nut welded to the top of the canister so they can be easily wrenched-off with a standard tool. To satisfy the demands of racers, our oil filter has many features over and above the requirements of most vehicles. We use thicker canister walls for extra strength and durability which reduces the risk of damage from loose rocks and debris. The drilled hole on the nut provides for safety wire attachment. Our oil filters also use a resin impregnated cellulose filter media. This allows for higher flow rates while providing outstanding filtration.

Product Features:
  • O/E replacement oil filters for most cars, trucks, SUV's, motorcycles, & ATV's
  • Resin-impregnated filter media traps 99% of harmful contaminants
  • 1 inch exposed nut designed for easy oil filter removal
  • Heavy duty construction for extreme conditions
  • Anti-drainback valve (where applicable) eliminates dry starts, prevents oil from draining back into crankcase during engine shutdown

      Comments about K&N Oil Filter:

K&N Filters are by far superior to all other filters. They are durable and reusable air filters and the oil filters have the best filtration properties on the market. Even at 187K mi my oil still looks fresh out of the can at 3000 miles.

            Comments about K&N Oil Filter:

I use K&N filters in all of my vehicles, they cost a little more but they are much better than 99% of other brands. Royal purple makes good ones that are comparable to K&N. I wont use any other brand if I can help it. Great product never had a issue with any filter I have used from K&N

                Comments about K&N Oil Filter:

Changed oil and filters on my truck, my friends two trucks, and another friends SUV. Used K&N filters on all of them. Not an issue with installation, but the built in nut will surely make them a snap to remove.

                  Comments about K&N Oil Filter:

The top of the line product, manufactured to higher quality specs, works well installs easy and appears to do what is says it does works better than any other filter. My oil life monitor on the car has moved very slowing since I installed the k&n FILTER which tells me the filter is trapping more dirt than the previous one.

                          A:

Having worked in lube shop industry for several years, I really do not recommend going 10,000 miles on any oil change. I have seen a wide range of vehicles, using all the major brands of oil, go that long between oil changes and I was not impressed. Some faired better than others but after seeing repeat customers use the same types of oils and go 10,000+ miles on each oil change, I noticed what was happening to their vehicles. I heard noises after time (way sooner than might be expected), leaks, and burning of oil. I personally use one of the major synthetic brand name oils and I go about 5,000-6,000 miles because that is the time that I noticed over the years when the oil started to break down. Any oil filter should be good with this mileage as well.
