Check Vehicle Fit

Originally developed for demanding race applications, K&N's Premium Wrench-Off Oil Filter has become a favorite among consumers for its durability and easy removal. Most of our automotive and marine oil filters come with a 1 inch nut welded to the top of the canister so they can be easily wrenched-off with a standard tool. To satisfy the demands of racers, our oil filter has many features over and above the requirements of most vehicles. We use thicker canister walls for extra strength and durability which reduces the risk of damage from loose rocks and debris. The drilled hole on the nut provides for safety wire attachment. Our oil filters also use a resin impregnated cellulose filter media. This allows for higher flow rates while providing outstanding filtration.

Product Features:
  • O/E replacement oil filters for most cars, trucks, SUV's, motorcycles, & ATV's
  • Resin-impregnated filter media traps 99% of harmful contaminants
  • 1 inch exposed nut designed for easy oil filter removal
  • Heavy duty construction for extreme conditions
  • Anti-drainback valve (where applicable) eliminates dry starts, prevents oil from draining back into crankcase during engine shutdown

k&n are the best filters however this is the 2nd time I bought a filter that has been mislabed and put in the wrong box and it wouldn't fit my car the filter was suppose to be the hp-2004 for my Durango and that's what was on the box and filter but it didn't fit and I looked at the old k&n I had on it and it said hp-2004 and the groves on the 2 were different sizes so that's the only problem with them you might want to check the filter before you get it

          Comments about K&N Oil Filter:

On two occasions now, Hp-2004, whilst labeled correctly on both the box and filter, will not a fit a 1991 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4.0L HO. These two filters whether mis-labeled or manufactured incorrectly, do not allow the filter to thread onto stud fully. Most of the time these filters are fine however.

            Comments about K&N Oil Filter:

Been running K&N oil filters for fiteen years now in vehicles that are run in all kinds of conditions to include significant off highway operation. Not really sure why they now sell so called high milage oil since some of my vehicles range in the 200,000 to 400,000 plus miles well above their so called high milage limit. They of course get regular oil changes [3000 to 4000 mile interval] with either Shell Rotella or Southern States Super Oil. none of them burn oil. So in a nut shell why argue with sucess.

This is the perfect filter for most MGBs. The spin-on filter is accessible from the top. I've been changing the oil in these cars for 40 years and this is the first filter that was a pleasure to use. In addition, it appears to be very high quality with recommendations from most other MGB enthusiasts.

                      Comments about K&N Oil Filter:

I own a 2005 Dodge Magnum with the V6. The oil filter sets and and is flush with surrounding motor and motor components. So having the welded nut on the bottom of the filter is pretty much the only way to remove the filter. Most bottom oil filter wrenches do not work. And this K&N filter keeps oil clean.
