        • Q:

What is the warranty period on these coils? I purchased 3 last March, and I'm in the shop with p0302 and p0304 codes the garage is putting on the coils. Misfire moves to cylinder 6 when then move 2 or 4 coils there. I am ordering 3 more, but if they are still covered I'll take my receipt from Mar 13.

            A:

Automobile ignition systems deliver a spark of several thousand volts to the spark plugs at exactly the right time from a six- or 12-volt battery. The distributor gets the spark to the right place at the right time in what is called the secondary circuit. The primary circuit initially created the large spark, and at the heart of the primary circuit is the ignition coil.
