          A:

The idle air control valve should be the possible cause of the problem. However, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem.

The idle air control valve is on the intake manifold. It is for cold start purposes.

Possibly. It may be something as simple as that you just need a tune up.

Yes this could be the problem of your car not idleing correctly as well as some other things could cause this.

The problem is likely your FITV (Fast Idle Valve). It is on the underside of the throttle body. When the FITV goes bad, instead of opening up and letting more air in when the car is first started so that the engine warms up quickly, it starts leaking coolant into the throttle body. This could also explain your overheating. You should notice that if the problem is the FITV, you are losing coolant. Check your coolant level as well. Make sure after replacing the FITV to fill your coolant back up (actually, fill it up now for the time being also). FITV is only available used or from the Honda dealership. It is much less expensive than the IACV (idle air control valve), so you should be relieved to find that out.
