      A:

The symptoms of a bad EGR Valve are Increased Emissions, Pinging and Knocking, Overheating, Increased Fuel Consumption, Rough Idle. However, without the presence of your vehicle we would not be able to properly diagnose it nor provide you with a 100% answer. We would suggest that you take your vehicle to a certified mechanic for further diagnosis.
