Failed catastrophically

  • None

Cons

  • Difficult To Install
  • Not Reliable

Best Uses

Comments about CARQUEST by Intermotor Distributor Rotor:

Not only did the product fail to use OEM installation hardware (phillips head as opposed to the allen that allow for access in BMW 3 series), it shorted out right through the core of the rotor in less than a year of use. It arced from the inside contact, melted through the plastic, and grounded to one of the mounting bolts. The combined BWD distributor cap lasted about the same time (massive wear on the electrodes and plastic housing cracked). For an E30, stick with the OEM Bosch (available for same price through other vendors).

    Pros

    • Fit without issue

    Cons

    • Phillips Head Fasteners

    Best Uses

    • Replacement

Comments about CARQUEST by Intermotor Distributor Rotor:

Must use Allen Head fasteners from old rotor to ease installation of part. Not enough room in BMW 3 series to use Phillips head screwdriver (unless the radiator is removed!).
