This is not DEC (double end capped) PAG oil. Ford recommends ONLY DEC PAG46 in their compressors. Uncapped or single-end capped oils absorb moisture which can lead to the formation of acids inside the refrigerant system, causing corrosion from within, leading to system leaks, possible catastrophic compressor failure ('black death')

First would like to confirm that I can use this oil with my 2010 Volkswagen Routan SE.
Recently I replaced my condenser ONLY and the question is how much of this oil need to be added in order to lubricate the whole AC system? I already purchased AC Pro Professional Formula Refrigerant with Gauge and Hose (20 oz.)(Part No. ACP-100N/ACP-10)
Thank you in advance for your time!

Glad to assist, SE! By replacing the condenser only you would only need to add 1oz of oil, now if you actually purchase the A/ C Pro Professional Formula Refrigerant with Gauge and Hose (Part No. ACP-100N/ACP-10) it actually has 3 Oz of oil in it so no additional oil would be needed.

I'm glad to assist! If you are looking to recharge the refrigerant in your 2006 Nissan Altima S. Nissan does recommend adding oil before the refrigerant. Part Nos. RLS-134/LFXR-13 and RLS-3 both contain leak sealer and RLS-3 also contains a leak detecting UV dye. Most vehicle manufacturers recommend against the use of sealants in the A/C system.

If your air conditioning system is leaking, it may be better to replace the components that are leaking and have your system vacuum pumped and refilled to ensure that you are not venting more R-134a into the air and you won't have to refill the system again. If you need help finding a local mechanic that is capable of doing so, please try our 'Need expert help?' link further down this page.

                        A:

These are the common reasons for Air Conditioner does not work at idle. 1. The cooling fan for the condenser is not working. 2. The car could be overheating - caused by something else other than the cooling fan. 3. Heat transfer from the radiator to the condenser can alter efficiency, if the car is overheating. 4. The Air Conditioner compressor may not be pumping sufficiently at slower RPM's (revolutions per minute). 5. An expansion valve may not be regulating the refrigerant correctly. 6. Condenser fins could be bent or the condenser could be obstructed by foreign debris. We would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem. For any further assistance please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our Parts Pros will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
