Hi there Race! Happy to help! For this dye you would do 1 oz to 8 pints (4 quarts) for automatic transmission fluid. 1 oz for 5 quarts of motor oil, and 1 oz for 5 gallons of fuel so for 14 gallons you would need 3 ounces of the dye.Q:

At this time there is not a UV dye available through AdvanceAutoParts.com that is compatible with synthetic motor oil. You may check with your local store to see if they may be able to locate or recommend a UV dye that is compatible with synthetic motor oils.Q:

I'm happy to help, Shadow83! This UV dye requires a normal 55 lumens LED blacklight flashlight or similar. I was able to locate a led flashlight with this power - Performance Tools LED FLASHLIGHT - Part No. W2456. A yellow tinted safety glass is also recommended when using the flashlight. An engine with slower leaks will take more time to detect than with faster leaks.
